RRB JE 2020: Exam Date, Application Form, Eligibility, Age Limit, Educational Qualification

RRB JE 2020: The Railway Recruitment Board will be released a notification soon for RRB JE Recruitment 2020. The exam will be conducting for selecting the candidates for the posts of Junior Engineer (JE), Junior Engineer (Information Technology), Depot Material Superintendent and Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant. Eligible candidates can able to apply for the exam by fill up the online application form. As per the media information, the application form will be released in 1st week of January 2020.

The RRB JE exam will be conducted through online mode. Candidates have to answer the questions via computer system. The online computer based test will be completed by phase I and phase II. Candidates will be given 90 minutes to complete the phase I and 120 minutes for phase II. There will be negative marking for each wrong answer.

Application Fee:

  • For General/ OBC Candidates: Rs – 500/-
  • For Candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex- Serviceman/ PwBDs/ Women/ Transgender/ Minorities/ Economic Backward Classes: Rs – 250/-
  • This fee will be refunded duly deducting bank charges, on appearing in 1st stage CBT.

Payment Mode:

Applicant will pay application fee through Debit Card/ Credit Card/ Net Banking/ UPI/ SBI Bank Challan/ Post Office Challan.

Age Limit:

  • Minimum Age: 18 years
  • Maximum Age: 33 years
  • Note: Age relaxation will be allowed as per government rules. For more details, see the official notification.

Educational Qualification:

  • Junior Engineer: candidates must have a diploma/degree in engineering in relevant disciplines prescribed against various post from recognized Institute/ University.
  • Junior Engineer (IT): Candidates should have PGDCA/ BSc (Computer Science)/ BCA/ B-Tech (IT)/ B-Tech (Computer Science & Engineering)/ DOEACC “B” level course of 3 years duration or equivalent from a recognized Institute/ University.
  • Depot Material Superintendent: Diploma in Engineering in any stream from a recognized Institute/ University.
  • Chemical & Metallurgical Assistant: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree in science with physics and chemistry with minimum of 45% marks.

Salary:

Salary of RRB Junior Engineer after 7th pay commission.

  • Pay Scale: Level-6
  • Monthly Salary: Rs 35,400 – 112,400
  • Grade Pay: Rs 4,200
