What is the full form of VFX?

The VFX full form is Visual Effects which is popularly known as VFX. With this technology, an imagery is developed with the combination of digital images and live action shots which is far more extended from the live action.

Both image as well as videos are developed using this technology. Almost in all movies, the technology of VFX is used where we can see a fight between hero and a monster villain, the hero jumping from an aeroplane, all these scenes are developed with the help of VFX.

Imaginary movements are fabricated by combining real-life footage and computer-generated imagery (CGI) which looks very realistic and sensible. But, if it is done without VFX technology, it would be very risky, costly, time-consuming and nearly impossible to create this type of videos.

World’s first image using ‘special effects’ was created by Oscar Rejlander in 1857 with the combination of 32 negatives and represent it in a single frame using the technique of montaged combination print.  

The first-ever motion picture with special effects was fabricated by Alfred Clark in 1895 which was granted by everyone. Alfred Clark give an instruction to an actor to cover the costume of Mary at the time of filming of recreate the situation of beheading of Mary, Queen of Scots.

 This was the first time where some trick was used in the history of photography successfully and is designated as the “stop trick”. Accidently, Georges Méliès who is also known as pioneer of motion picture developed the same kind of “stop trick”.
