After some years, in 1929, the British Ruled Indian government gave suggestions for the establishment of a board jointly naming it as “Board of High School and Intermediate Education, Rajputana”.

In the coming years, this shows outstanding growth along with expansion in the secondary education which results improvement in the value and level of education in all its institutions which are affiliated the CBSE.

The control of the board was only limited to the areas of Ajmer, Bhopal and later in Vindhya Pradesh when State Universities and State Boards are established in different parts of the country. In 1952, this results the amendment of the constitution of the board and control was extended to the territories of Part-C and Part-D. In the same time, its previous name was changed to its original name which is ‘Central Board of Secondary Education’.

Due to this reconstitution, former ‘Delhi Board of Secondary Education’ and the Central Board was merged. So, all the institutions that has recognition of Delhi Board become Central Board’s part.
