Age Limit

The age limit for various posts under SSC CGL 2019-20 has been categorized into 5 groups, which are mentioned in the below table:

SSC CGL 2019-20: Nationality/Citizenship

  • A candidate must be either:
    1. a citizen of India, or
    2. a subject of Nepal, or
    3. a subject of Bhutan, or
    4. a Tibetan refugee who came over to India, before the 1st January, 1962 with the intention of permanently settling in India, or
    5. a person of Indian origin who has migrated from Pakistan, Burma, Sri Lanka, East African Countries of Kenya, Uganda, the United Republic of Tanzania (Formerly Tanganyika and Zanzibar), Zambia, Malawi, Zaire, Ethiopia and Vietnam with the intention of permanently settling in India.
  • Provided that a candidate belonging to categories (b), (c), (d) and (e) above shall be a person in whose favour a certificate of eligibility has been issued by the Government of India.
  • A candidate in whose case a certificate of eligibility is necessary may be admitted to the Examination but the offer of appointment will be given only after the necessary eligibility certificate has been issued to him by the Government of India.

SSC CGL 2019-20: Educational Qualification

The essential educational qualifications for SSC CGL 2019-20 are given below according to posts:

  1. Post Name: Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer

Educational Qualification:

  • Essential Qualification: Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree from a recognized University or Institute.
  • Desirable Qualifications: Chartered Accountant/ Cost & Management Accountant/ Company Secretary/ Masters in Commerce/ Masters in Business Studies/ Masters in Business Administration (Finance)/ Masters in Business Economics.
  • During the period of probation direct recruits shall have to qualify the “Subordinate Audit/ Accounts Service Examination” in respective branches for confirmation and regular appointment as Assistant Audit Officer/ Assistant Accounts Officer.

2. Post Name: Junior Statistical Officer

Educational Qualification:

  • Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any subject from a recognized University or Institute with at least 60% Marks in Mathematics at 12th standard level. or
  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects at degree level.

3. Post Name: Statistical Investigator Grade-II

Educational Qualification:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any subject with Statistics as one of the subjects from a recognized University or Institute. The applicants must have studied Statistics as a subject in all the three years of the graduation course.

4. Post Name: All other Posts

Educational Qualification:

  • Applicants must have a bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University or equivalent.

SSC CGL 2019-20: Application Process

Eligible candidates can apply online for various Group “B” and Group “C” posts from 22nd October 2019 to 25th November 2019 at the official website i.e. ssc.nic.in. The application form will be submitted through online mode only. Below has been provided the details instruction on filling online application:

How to Apply Online

The process of online application for the exam of SSC CGL 2019-20 is divided into two parts, which are:

  1. One Time Registration
  2. Filling of online Application for the Exam

One Time Registration

Candidates are requested to read the instructions carefully before filling up the online Registration Form and Application Form. Also, keep the following information/ documents ready during the online Registration and Application:

  • Mobile Number (to be verified through OTP)
  • E-mail ID (to be verified through OTP)
  • Aadhaar Number. If Aadhaar Number is not available others acceptable ID are a Voter ID Card/ PAN Card/ Passport/ Driving License/ School or College ID/ Employer ID (Govt./ PSU/ Private).
  • Information about the Board, Roll Number and Year of Passing the Matriculation (10th) Examination.
  • Scanned color passport size photograph in JPEG format (20 KB to 50 KB). Image dimension of the photograph should be about 3.5 cm (width) x 4.5 cm (height). Applications with blurred photograph will be rejected.
  • Scanned signature in JPEG format (10 to 20 KB). Image dimension of the signature should be about 4.0 cm (width) x 3.0 cm (height). Applications with blurred signature will be rejected.
  • Others certificate like SC/ST, OBC, Disability Certificate, etc.

Follow the steps as under to filling up the One Time Registration:

Step1: Visit the official site (ssc.nic.in) and click on the New Registration button. Link is available in the Login section.

Step2: Filling up the basic information like ID number, Name, Father’s name, Mother’s name, Date of birth, Matriculation (10th) Examination details, Gender, Mobile number, E-mail ID, etc. Then save and continue.

Step3: Next, filling up the additional and contact details like State, District, Present address, Permanent address, etc.

Step4: Final step is uploading scanned color passport size photograph and signature.

Note: Provided details during registration i.e. Name, Father’s Name, Mother’s Name, Date of birth, Matriculation (10th) Examination details should be filled exactly as record in Matriculation Certificate. Otherwise, your Registration may get cancelled in case of incorrect/ wrong information.

Online Application Form

Follow the steps as under to filling up the online Application for various posts of SSC CGL 2019-20:

Step 1: After online registration, Login to online system through registration number and password.

Step 2: Click on the apply link of “Combined Graduate Level Examination 2019”, which is available in the “Latest Notification” tab.

Step 3: Basic information will be automatically field from One Time Registration Data which is non-editable.

Step 4: If you belong to Economically Weaker Section (EWS) then select Yes, otherwise No. This is applicable only for unreserved candidates.

Step 5: Choose examination center within the same Region.

Step 6: If you are an ex-serviceman, fill up the required information.

Step 7: Select the post you are applying for.

Step 8: If you are seeking age relaxation, select appropriate age-relaxation category.

Step 9: Mention your highest qualification.

Step 10: Contact details, Photograph and Signature will be automatically field from One Time Registration Data.

Step 11: Go through the declarations carefully and click on “I agree” check box if you accept the same. And fill up Captcha code.

Step 12: Finally, preview and verify your provided information and pay application fee then Submit the Application.

Application Fee

The application fee for SSC Combined Graduate Level Exam 2019-20 is Rs- 100/- (One Hundred Rupees only).

Candidates can make payment through BHIM UPI, Net Banking or by using Visa, MasterCard, Maestro, RuPay Credit or Debit card or in cash at SBI Branches by generating SBI Challan.

Note: Women candidates and candidates belonging to Scheduled Castes (SC), Scheduled Tribes (ST), Persons with Disability (PwD) and Ex-servicemen (ESM) eligible for reservation are exempted from payment of fee.

SSC CGL 2019-20: Recruitment Process

The selection process for the various posts of SSC CGL 2019-20 will be completed by different stages. The Examination will be conducted in four tiers as indicated below:

  1. Tier-I: Computer Based Examination
  2. Tier-II: Computer Based Examination
  3. Tier-III: Pen and Paper Mode (Descriptive paper)
  4. Tier-IV: Computer Proficiency Test/ Data Entry Skill Test (wherever applicable)/ Document Verification.
