What is the full form of SSC?

The SSC full form is Staff Selection Commission, is a recruiting organization under which many examinations are conducted such as SSC GD, CHSL, CGL, MTS, CPO, JE, Steno etc. SSC recruit candidates for various posts in different posts under the government of India.

Initially, SSC was popularly known as Subordinate Service Commission but in present it is known as the Staff Selection Commission.

This is an organization that is under the Department of Personnel and Training (DoPT) having a chairman, two members and a Secretary-cum-Controller of Examinations.

SSC was formed by the Government of India as Subordinate Service Commission in 1975 to take suggestion for reforms of the organization. In the year 1977 of September month changed its name as Staff Selection Commission.

The commission suggested to redefined the functions of the SSC that was done by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances under the government of India. New rules and regulation of the Staff Selection Commission was applied from 1 June 1999.

Required minimum qualification to appear in this examination is graduation from any authorized university/ board. Candidates are hired in the different posts of Group B and Group C through this examination.

SSC CPO

CPO stands for Central Police Organization. Candidates who have completed graduation can take preparation for this examination.

SSC Stenographer

Vacancies for Stenographer Grade C (non-gazetted post) and Grade D of various departments, ministries and organizations under the Government of India is filled through this examination at national level. The conducting agent of this exam is SSC.

Till now notification for 2020-21 has not released by SSC. But, it is expected that recruitment for 2019 and the number of vacancies for 2019 will be released very soon.

SSC MTS

Multi-Tasking Staff is the full form of MTS. There are various departments, offices and organization which are under the Government of India is filled in this examination. Here, candidates are recruited in the Non-Technical posts.
