RRB NTPC 2019 Exam Pattern and Selection Process: The Railway Recruitment Board(RRB) has released an official notification for RRB NTPC 2019 Recruitment in the post of Non-Technical Popular Categories (NTPC), Para Medical Staff,Ministerial and Isolated Categories (MIC) and RRC Group D/Level-1 Categories. This year RRB has announced a total of around 1,30,000 vacancies in Indian Railways. The registration process of RRB NTPC 2019 has been started on 1st March 2019.

In this article, we have discussed the RRB NTPC 2019 exam pattern and Selection Process so that the candidates can create themselves correctly.

RRB NTPC 2019 Examination Process:

  • If any candidate is sending someone else in his/her place to appear in the exam, then attempt to impersonate, he/she will be debarred from appearing in all the examinations of all the RRBs (Railway Recruitment Board)/RRCs (Railway Recruitment Cell) for a lifetime.
  • Any electronic gadgets (such as Mobile Phones, Laptops, Calculators, Pen Drive, Bluetooth Devces, Wristwatches, etc.) or any other communication devices are not allowed in the exam.
  • RRB NTPC 2019 exam will be two Stage Computer Based Test(CBT). The Second Stage Computer Based Test will be followed by Skill Test Which Is Computer-based Aptitude Test (For the posts of Station Master and Traffic Assistant) and TST (For the post of Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Account Assistant cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper, Senior Clerk cum Typist, and Senior Time Keeper). Finally, there will be DV (Document Verification) and ME (Medical Examination). There shall be two-stage CBT followed by Document Verification and Medical Examination for the posts of Goods Guard, Trains Clerk, Commercial cum Ticket Clerk, Commercial Apprentice, Senior Commercial cum Ticket Clerk.
  • The Candidates who are shortlisting for different stages shall be based on the normalized marks obtained by them whenever the Computer Based Test is conducted in multiple stages for the same RRB NTPC Syllabus. The formula for calculating the standardized scores for the multi-stages exam papers is below:

  • There shall be negative marking for an incorrect answer in CBTs (For every wrong answer, Deduction of 0.333(1/3rd) marks allotted for each question shall be made).

Note:

  • CANDIDATES के पास अपना स्वयं का मोबाइल नंबर, वैध और सक्रिय Personal Email Id होना चाहिए और उन्हें भर्ती की पूरी अवधि के लिए सक्रिय रखना चाहिए क्योंकि आरआरबी भर्ती के पूर्ण होने तक केवल एसएमएस और ईमेल के माध्यम से भर्ती संबंधी सभी संचार भेजेंगे। आरआरबी किसी भी स्तर पर mobile number और ईमेल पते को बदलने के लिए किसी भी अनुरोध का मनोरंजन नहीं करेंगे।
  • CANDIDATES को ध्यान देना चाहिए कि इस आवेदन में भरी हुई जन्म तिथि मैट्रिकुलेशन / एसएसएलसी / दसवीं कक्षा या एक समकक्ष प्रमाणपत्र में दर्ज होनी चाहिए। इसके परिवर्तन के लिए किसी भी बाद के requests पर विचार नहीं किया जाएगा।
  • SC / ST / OBC NCL / EWS / PwBD / Ex-SM के लिए उपलब्ध आरक्षण / छूट लाभ प्राप्त करने वाले सभी CANDIDATES को यह सुनिश्चित करना चाहिए कि वे नियमों / CEN में निर्धारित पात्रता के अनुसार इस तरह के आरक्षण / छूट के हकदार हैं। वे नियमों / CEN में निर्धारित के अनुसार अपने दावे के समर्थन में निर्धारित प्रारूप में सभी अपेक्षित certificates के कब्जे में होना चाहिए।

RRB NTPC 2019 Exam Pattern and Selection Process:

The selection process shall include First Stage CBT, Second Stage CBT, TST/CBAT (Computer-based Aptitude Test) (as applicable) and DV (Document verification)/ME (Medical examination). The RRB NTPC Selection is made concerning merit, according to stages as mentioned earlier.

The stages of examination for RRB NTPC recruitment are the following:

  1. First stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
  2. Second stage Computer Based Test (CBT)
  3. CBAT/TST (as applicable)
  4. DV/ ME

Minimum percentage of marks for appearing into the Second stage exam in various categories:

    • UR-40%
    • EWS-40%
    • OBC (Non-creamy layer) -30%
    • SC-30%
    • ST-25%.
  • For PwBD candidates, these percentages of marks may be reduced by two per cent for eligibility in case of not having enough PwBD candidates according to the vacancies reserved for them.
    • For PwBD candidates, the exam duration will be 102 minutes.
    • Negative marking is there (For every wrong answer, Deduction of 0.333(1/3) marks allotted for each question made).
    • The normalized score of First Stage Computer Based Test used for shortlisting of candidates for the Second Stage Computer Based Test as per their merit.

RRB NTPC 2019 Exam Pattern: Computer-Based aptitude test (CBAT):

The Computer-Based aptitude test (CBAT) is applicable only for traffic assistant and station master posts. Process for qualify of CBAT (Computer Based aptitude test) is below:

  • The Candidates need to secure a minimum T-score of Forty-two marks in each of the test batteries.
  • It applies to all candidates neutral of community or category (i.e. neutral of SC/ST/OBC-NCL/EWS/PwBD/Ex-SM). and
  • The minimum T- Score required for eligibility.
  • If the candidates qualify in each of the test batteries of Computer-Based aptitude test (CBAT), then will considering them for the post of SM/TA.
  • The CBAT Will be held with questions and answer options only in English and Hindi Language.
  • Negative marking is not there.

RRB NTPC 2019 Exam Pattern: RRB NTPC 2019 Typing Skill Test (TST):

The Typing Skill Test (TST) is applicable for the posts Accounts Assistant cum Typist, Accounts Clerk cum Typist, Junior-Senior Time Keeper, Junior Clerk cum Typist, Junior Time Keeper and Senior Clerk cum Typist. Process for qualify of Typing Skill Test (TST) is below:

  • Marks will be obtained in TST not add for making merit.
  • The number of candidates shall be equal to 8 times the number of vacancies for every community/category called for Typing Skill Test(TST).
  • In Typing Skill Test (TST), the candidates should be able to type thirty words per minute (WPM) in English or twenty-five words per minute (WPM) in Hindi on Personal Computer only except editing tools and spell check facility.
  • For appear TST in Hindi, Kruti Dev(KD) and Mangal Font(MF) shall be made available for TST on PC.
  • For eligible PwBD candidates, before the conduct of Typing Skill Test have to upload a scanned copy of the TST Exemption Certificate which is issued by the Competent Medical Board(CMB) in the RRBs website.
  • Only for the candidates, who will be qualified in the TST/TST exempted PwBD candidates based on performance in the Second Stage CBT, the merit list drawn for them.

RRB NTPC 2019 Exam Pattern: RRB NTPC 2019 Document Verification (DV):

  • Candidates will be equal to the number of vacancies called for Document Verification as per their merit which based on the performance of candidates in both Second Stage CBT and CBAT/TST.
  • Besides, candidates will be equal to Fifty per cent (may increase or decrease at the consideration of RRBs) of the number of vacancy for various posts also called for DV (document verification).
