Types of ITI Courses

We can classify the courses into two types according to the nature of the courses such as:

(i) Engineering Courses:

In Engineering ITI courses or trades more emphasis are providing on the technical section. You will learn various topics of Mathematics, Physics, and other related topics. Generally, the duration of this course is 2 years.

(ii) Non-Engineering Courses:

In this course, topics that are of management and daily life related will be taught. In general, duration of this course is about 6 months to 12 months.

Admission Process

Candidates can take admission by the following two methods such as:

(i) Direct Admission:

In the process of direct admission, candidates will get direct admission on the basis of marks obtained in 10th board examination. Having score more than 35% are eligible to apply for ITI courses.

(ii) Based on the Entrance Examination:

To get admission in the government colleges, you have to appear in the entrance examination administer by the specific state. As per your performance in this examination, you will be allotted seats in the colleges.

ITI Course Fees

It takes less amount to pursue this course as compare to engineering courses. Generally, private institutions charge more fees than government institutions.

For engineering trades, you have to fees of ₹ 2,000 to ₹ 10,000 and for the non-engineering courses fees will be approximately ₹ 3,950 to ₹ 7,000. Other than this, you need to pay exam fee for every examination.
