Having 246 battalions and other related establishment, Central Reserve Police Force or paramilitary force is known as the largest Central Armed Police Force of India.

Ministry of Home Affairs which is working under the Government of India regulates Central Reserve Police Force.

As the name indicates, it is a reserved force which provide assistance to the state and the central government in case of any disturbance within the country.
