What is the Full Form of AISSCE?

The full form of AISSCE is All India Senior School Certificate Examination and also known to us as Board Examination.

The conducting body of All India Senior School Certificate Examination is CBSE. Students of CBSE-affiliated school, it is mandatory to appear in this examination.

At the end of each academic year, every year a final examination is conducted which is known as All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE). This is a very important examination as the score of this examination is considered to take admission in colleges for higher studies.

You must choose subjects of your own interest after the completion of 10th board examination and you need to appear only those examinations. There are four popular streams from which students can choose subjects are Medical, Non-medical, Commerce, and Arts.

The patterns of questions and grades provided for marks are same of all subjects. In case, any student unable to qualify the examination, then they have to appear in the examination once again.

Comparison of AISSCE and CBSE

The common question asked by the people – Is there any difference between AISSCE and CBSE? Yes, there are some difference between AISSCE and CBSE but have some similarities.

• The full form of CBSE is Central Board of Secondary Examination which is a national level education board for both private as well as public schools. On the other hand, AISSCE is an examination for grade 12th whose conducting body is CBSE.

• CBSE conducted and controls both AISSCE for grade 12th and AISSE for grade 10th.

Examination Pattern for AISSCE

The full marks for each subject is given 100 in the examination. There are some subjects in which practical examination is also included, 20/ 30 marks is allotted for practical examination and rest 70/ 80 marks is allotted for theoretical examination.

From the academic year 2020, whether it is science-based subjects or not, a guideline was issued for the introduction of 20 marks internal assessment. Previously, only theory examination was taken upto 100 marks. The total time allotted for each theory examination is 3 hours and time limitation for practical examination varies from subjects to subjects.

Practical marks for mathematics is also included as per the guidelines issued by CBSE (Central Board of Secondary Examination) from March 2019. Practical examinations are conducted at the examination centre other than their home centres decided by CBSE randomly. Records of their performance and viva is maintained by CBSE. Topics are provided through syllabus of practical examination on which students will asked to do practical.

Students must obtain 33 marks to in each subjects to qualify or promote for higher studies. Students must aware of some important instructions as mentioned below:

• Students need to be at the examination centre prior to 30 minutes of the commencement of the examination.

• Students must bring admit card or hall tickets along with them which is provided to them at least 3 – 4 weeks prior to the board examination.

• Students can avail their results online as notified by CBSE.

Importance of AISSCE

AISSCE is a very important examination that every student of CBSE institution must appear and qualify to be promoted to the next class. In the following section, we have discussed the importance of AISSCE.
